A DRS review was requested of an incident at 04.00 of the first period of the game when Leeds #14 was checked by Berkshire #74 on the boards in the defending zone, a minor penalty for Boarding was called.
The Puck is shot up the towards the Leeds defensive zone, Leeds #14 chases the puck down and is followed by Berkshire #74, the Leeds player plays the puck behind the goal and as he does, he opens his body up to the Bees player following behind.
The Berkshire player checks the Leeds player who is thrown violently into the boards with the first point of contact with the boards appearing the be the back of the head/ neck area. The puck is behind the goal and no attempt is made by the Berkshire #74 to play the puck.
This action caused reckless endangerment, and the call made upgraded to a 5 + Game Misconduct penalty under Boarding Rule 41.4.
The Player will receive a 5 + Game misconduct penalty, 5 penalty points and as Tariff 1 offence is suspended for 3 games.
Leeds Knights #9 Jordan Buesa
The DRS review requested by Berkshire Bees is upheld.
Two players are in a tussle moving away from the boards in the Berkshire Defending zone by the goal.
As they move up ice Bees #71 pushes Leeds player #9 who swings his arms backward raising his stick as he does, due to this action the stick makes contact with the head and neck area of Berkshire #71.
This action caused reckless endangerment and the call made upgraded to a 5 + Game Misconduct penalty under High sticking Rule 60.4.
The player Receives 5 Penalty points and is free to play subject to accumulated penalty points.
As the player has reached 10 personal penalty points, the player is suspended for 1 game under the totting up procedure.
