DOPS: Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December
The Department of Player Safety have adjudicated and reviewed the penalties sent to them by the PINIHL Game Review Panel from game play over the weekend 7th & 8th December 2024 and confirm:

Berkshire Bees #74 Liam Morris

The 5 + Game penalty for Slashing meets the requirements of Rule 61.3.

The slash was directly on an unprotected area of the wrist delivered with force during a stoppage of play.

The Player slashed would not be expecting to protect himself from a slash as it was not during game play.

The Player recklessly endangers their opponent by “slashing” due to the severity of the infraction, severity of the contact, the degree of violence and injury caused, a 5 + game misconduct penalty is assessed.

The player receives 5 penalty points on their record and as a tier 2 tariff offence the Player is suspended for 5 games, (2 games suspended pending no further major stick offences before the end of the 2024/25 season)

As the player has reached 10 personal penalty points, the player is suspended for a further 1 game under the totting up procedure.

Total Games suspended is 6 games (with 2 games suspended).

Leeds Knights #12 Kieran Brown

The 5 + Game penalty for fighting meets the requirements of Rule 46.

The player is seen throwing a punch to the bottom of a ruck on a vulnerable player, the video footage is inconclusive as to where contact is made.

The player receives 5 penalty points and as a Tariff 1 offence is suspended for 1 game.

As the player has reached 10 personal penalty points, the player is suspended for a further 1 game under the totting up procedure
