Recapping week 14 of the NIHL
Their were 11 games in action this weekend and here is your mini review of each game.

Friday 13th December:

The Peterborough Phantoms secured a huge away win against the Sheffield Steeldogs beating them 6-3. Janne Laakkonen getting 5 assists while Cam Hough scored twice and assisted a further two. A great game for the Phantoms top line.

Saturday 14th December:

The Swindon Wildcats carried on their good form as they beat the Hull Seahawks 5-2 with three goals in the third period to secure the two points. Five different goalscorers for the Cats with Edgars Bebris also picking up two assists.

The Leeds Knights beat the Romford Raiders 3-1 on home ice despite missing Brown and Buesa due to suspension. Goals from Barron, Howlett and Haywood got the job done for Ryan Aldridge side. Sam Gospel saving 27/28 shots to keep his spot at the top of the goalie charts.

The Solway Sharks secured a comfortable 9-3 victory against a short benched Berkshire Bees side. Nolan Gardiner scoring five goals on the night. Kyle Carruth, Callum Boyd and Connor Henderson also amongst the scoring. 

The Sheffield Steeldogs bounced back from Friday with a big away win against the Bristol Pitbulls. The home side without captain Tanner Butler who was serving a suspension. Walker Sommer continues his goal scoring form with another two goals making it four on the weekend. 

The final game on Saturday saw the MK Lightning bounce back from their cup exit on Thursday as they beat the Telford Tigers 5-1 on home ice. Grinnell-Parke and Harry Gulliver scored two goals each to secure the two points.

Sunday 15th December: 

The Solway Sharks completed the double and secured a four-point weekend beating the Bees 6-3 with Gardiner getting another three goals making it eight across the weekend. Carruth also added another goal to his tally. Will Stead did carry on his goalscoring as he bagged a hat-trick.

The Leeds Knights also completed the four-point weekend and back-to-back wins against the Romford Raiders with a 5-2 win. The Knights went 3-0 up after the first period and never looked back from their. 

The Hull Seahawks bounced back at home with a comfortable 4-0 victory against the Bristol Pitbulls. Chamberlain scoring another two goals making it 9 goals in 5 games for the Captain. Zimozdra getting his first shutout of the season saving 40 shots.

The Swindon Wildcats completed a four-point weekend with a very impressive 6-2 win away in Peterborough against the Phantoms. Jake Bricknell scoring twice and assisting a further two. Jacob Minter also picked up his first point for the Wildcats.

The final game of the weekend saw the Telford Tigers come back from 2-0 down against the Lightning to beat the 3-2 in regulation. Thomas Byrne scoring the game winning goal with less than 10 minutes to go. This loss for MK now puts them on level points with the Knights.
