The penalty assessed at 47.24 a 5minute Major + Game Misconduct Rule 41 Boarding is correct.

Play is in the neutral zone Bristol #19 collects the puck some 6 feet from the boards and while controlling it turns his back towards the incoming Peterborough #29, who checks #19, which then throws him violently towards the boards with the head /neck area being the first point of contact with the boards.

This cannot be a deemed a check from behind as the checked player #19 turned his back placing him in a vulnerable position immediately prior to the check.

However, #29 made no effort to change his course or attempt to protect the player and the contact, check and resulting impact with the boards and reckless endangerment caused satisfies the requirements of Rule 41.4

The player receives 5 penalty points for his actions.

As the player has reached 10 personal penalty points, the player is suspended for 1 game under the totting up procedure
