Top 3 NIHL Players of Week 19
1. Cam Hough - Peterborough Phantoms
It was an excellent weekend for the Peterborough Phantoms as they secured a four-point weekend and Canadian Cam Hough was at the heart of that. On Saturday he scored a very nice goal in the Phantoms 4-3 away victory against the Hull Seahawks. Then on Sunday he scored a hat-trick against the Solway Sharks helping his team to a 4-1 victory. The Phantoms now have back-to-back four-point weekends.
2. Ed Bradley - Swindon Wildcats
The Swindon Wildcats had an excellent weekend as they also secured a four-point weekend. On Saturday they beat the Leeds Knights 5-1 with Ed Bradley getting a goal and playing a big part in the defensive shut down of the Knights. Then on Sunday, the Cats beat the Telford Tigers 7-2 with Bradley getting a big goals to put the team up 3-1 and also getting an assist in the game. A fantastic weekend for Ed who also signed a two year extension with the Wildcats.
3. Bobby Chamberlain - Hull Seahawks
The Seahawks captain has had an incredible season so far and is currently the top british point scorer in the NIHL. On Saturday despite the Seahawks falling to a 4-3 defeat, Bobby scored twice then on Sunday he scored a hat-trick in a 6-2 victory away against the Romford Raiders. He now has 9 points in his last five games including six goals.
Honourable mentions:
Jake Bricknell carried on his fine form scoring three goals and adding four assists on the weekend. Hayden Lavinge had an excellent weekend in goal for the Phantoms. Ivan Bjorkly Nordström scored a hat-trick on Saturday in the Steeldogs 4-2 win against the Lightning.
