Top 3 NIHL Players of Week 20
1. Emil Svec - Hull Seahawks
It was a four-point weekend for the Hull Seahawks and Emil was at the heart of that with plenty of points this weekend. On Saturday Svec scored two goals against his former team and scored the winning penalty shot in a 6-5 victory away against the Swindon Wildcats. Then on Sunday he scored and assisted in a 6-1 victory against the Solway Sharks.
2. Jordan Spadafore - MK Lightning
The Canadian defensemen had one of his best weekends in a Lightning shirt both offensively and defensively. On Saturday he assisted twice in a 7-3 home victory. Then on Sunday he scored and assisted in a 6-2 away victory against the Bristol Pitbulls.
3. Jordan Cownie - MK Lightning
Another Jordan in our top three also from the Lightning who had a fantastic weekend. On Saturday he scored twice and assisted twice in a 7-3 home victory. Then on a Sunday he assisted another two goals to total 6 points on the weekend and also a four-point weekend for the Lightning.
Honourable Mentions:
Jake Bricknell continued his goalscoring form with a hat-trick on Saturday night and another goal on Sunday. Declan Balmer scored twice on Saturday night against his former team. Sam Tremblay scored twice in the Steeldogs overtime victory against the Tigers.
