DOPS Outcomes: Sunday 6th October

DOPS Outcomes: Sunday 6th October
The Department of Player Safety have adjudicated and reviewed the penalty sent to them by the PINIHL Game Review Panel from game play over the weekend 5th & 6th October 2024 and confirm:

Hull Seahawks #44 Kohen Taylor

In discussion the EIH DOPS team and PINIHL GRP have agreed that the penalty assessed, a 5-minute major, is insufficient for the situation as IHUK in house rule 46 “equal and willing” does not apply.

IIHF Rule 46.9 states “Players involved in “fighting” other than during the periods of the game shall be assessed a Major penalty (Fighting) and an automatic Game Misconduct Penalty (5'+GMP)

Fighting whilst tolerated during game play, is not acceptable between periods and will be penalised.

This 5 +game Misconduct Penalty will carry 5 penalty points and in addition as a Tariff 1 offence the player is suspended for 1 game.
