Top 3 NIHL players of week seven
1. Bobby Chamberlain
The Hull Seahawks captain led his team to a four-point weekend with back-to-back wins against the Berkshire Bees. On Saturday he scored and assisted twice in a 4-1 victory away in Slough. Then on Sunday he scored twice and added an assist in a 6-1 win. Bobby now becomes the top goal scorer of the Seahawks and those two wins lift them to joint second with Leeds and one point behind the Lightning.
2. Zachary Yokoyama
Zack got released from the Telford Tigers last weekend and got signed as injury cover for the Romford Raiders while Adam Laishram recovers. He did not disappoint in his first weekend with the Raiders. On Saturday, despite the Raiders losing on the night he still scored and picked up two assists. Then on Sunday he dropped a man-of-the-match performance against his former team scoring and assisting another two combining to six points across the weekend.
3. Bayley Harewood
The 21-year-old helped the Bristol Pitbullsto their first four-point weekend of the season. On Saturday night he scored in a 4-3 penalty shootout victory against the Telford Tigers where he also scored the winning penalty shot. Then on Sunday, he scored a big goal in their 5-4 comeback win against the Swindon Wildcats where he also assisted the overtime-winning goal.
Honorable Mentions
Pitbulls goalie Tommy Nappier had a fantastic weekend where he saved 44/47 shots on Saturday including all four penalty shots in the shootout. He then saved an additional 39 on Sunday. Tanner Butler also had a strong weekend scoring and assisting twice across the weekend. Owen Sobchak extended his points tally at the top. Getting a goal and seven assists. Ryan Wells scored twice this weekend with two highlight reel goals whilst Jake Bricknell also had a four-point night on Sunday and scored three goals across the weekend.
