Forsberg brings a wealth of European ice hockey experience to MK, having spent multiple seasons competing at a high level across the continent. Patrik will add depth to MK’s roster, with Dillon Lawrence currently sidelined with injury.

A native of Finland, Forsberg has demonstrated his ability to be a strong, steady presence on the blue line. Throughout his professional career, he has logged extensive ice time in various high-tier European leagues, showcasing a powerful shot and solid two-way play. Combining size, strength, and experience, Forsberg has proven adept at shutting down opponents and launching rapid transitions up the ice.

Patrik Forsberg, on signing with MK Lightning, said: “I am very excited to join MK Lightning for the rest of season, I hope to see a lot of you at the rink on the weekend.”

MK Lightning Head Coach Tim Wallace expressed his enthusiasm for the new arrival: “Patrik is a big strong player that can skate. He defends well and has a heavy shot. We will rely on him to play heavy, win battles and let her rip from the point.”

The MK Lightning face a huge challenge this weekend as they face off against the Swindon Wildcats in a double header.
