Chris Jones signs a two-year extension with the Swindon Wildcats

The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are thrilled to confirm that Chris Jones has extended his stay in Swindon by another two years!

CJ arrived in Swindon in the summer of 2017 and will see his stay in Swindon reach the end of the 2026-27 season. As a thank you for his service to the Wildcats they are delighted to also confirm a Testimonial for #11 at the end of this deal.

In recent years Chris has become a more formal leader in the locker room being handed the A on his jersey and has helped the team to a total of 4 trophies during his time with the Cats.

Head Coach Aaron Nell said:

“I’m delighted Chris Jones will be staying in Swindon for two more years. He’s a crucial part of our team and sometimes his impact goes under the radar. On both penalty kill and powerplay he plays a key role, and he is a tremendous leader in the locker-room.

Giving him this security of a two year contract was something we wanted to do and his testimonial will be truly deserved. Whilst still a long way down the line, I have no doubts it will be a true celebration of his time in Swindon.”
