Josh Batch Makes The Move To Bristol!
Batch has spent an impressive 13 seasons with the Welsh side, playing a total of 646 games in Devils colours, where he racked up 41 goals and 103.
From league titles to lifting both the Challenge and Continental Cup trophies, Batch has not only had an impressive career in the EIHL but has also represented Team GB on multiple occasions.
‘We are very fortunate and excited to be bringing a player of Batch’s quality to the Pound for the upcoming campaign! It’s hard to ignore Josh’s pedigree and trophy cabinet that would make most hockey players envious. As a club, it speaks volumes for the type of player we will be getting. I, and our coaching team, are excited about utilising Josh’s experience and leadership qualities within our organisation. We hope an older head at the backend and within our walls will be instrumental to our success on and off the ice this season,’ stated Richie Hargreaves.
‘What our fans can expect from Number 41 is a steady, no-nonsense, reliable presence at 6’4, a leader on and off the ice, and a versatile player who is as comfortable on the wing as in defence, which gives us great options in key matchups. Having spoken to Josh, he’s excited about his role and looking forward to his new venture. I have no doubt he will be very well received by our BleedBlue Faithfuls!’
